A/V Instructions for Didactic Classroom 1310

Wired Connection (Suggested for Windows)

  1. Turn on the display by pressing Displays on the left. Then click Power On and the Down Arrow
  1. Plug in the HDMI/VGA cord to your computer, and select the corresponding option on the Laptop tab—HDMI or VGA. (Make sure the Aux cord is plugged in when using VGA, or there will be no audio.


  1. Then click Everywhere.

Wireless Connection (Not Working at the Moment)

  1. Turn on the display by pressing Displays on the left. Then click Power On and the Down Arrow
  1. Click Wireless Device; the monitor will look like this.
  1. Go to https://www.mersive.com/download/ and download the app. 
  2. Use the Wifi named “SolsticePod_ISEB1010”
  3. Open the app. Click Share tab on the left. Then click the option that is named after the room and put in the 4 digit code that is showing up on the TV/projector (e.g., 3825 in the picture above).
  4. Follow the instructions on the app.
  5. Click send to Everywhere

Wireless Connection(For Mac or Windows)

  1. Press Displays on the left. Then click Power On and the Down Arrow next to it. 
  1. Click Wireless Device; the monitor will look like this.
  1. Go to https://www.mersive.com/download/ and download the app. 
  2. Install the App. The process can take quite a while and require a restart. Please plan ahead 10-20 minutes if this is your first time setting up the app.
  3. Click on the conference tab on the app.
  4. Input the INTERNAL address that is showing up on step 2.
  5. Open the app. Click Share tab on the left. Then click the option that is named after the room and put in the 4 digit code that is showing up on the TV/projector (e.g., 4145 in the picture above).
  6. Click send to a certain screen or Everywhere

Audio

  1. Click the Microphones tab on the left.
  2. Turn on the microphone that is in the black bags to the right of the podium. 
  3. If the Mute button is yellow, it means the microphone is muted. Click again to unmute the desired microphone.
  1. If the microphone battery is dead, please refer to the next page.
  2. At this moment, the two wireless microphones cannot be used at the same time. If the microphone is not making sound, make sure the other one is not on.

Wireless devices batteries

The batteries are located in room 1310A (back of the room). 

Lecture Recording/Livestream

Classroom recording is not available using the system at the moment. Please email teeyaf@uci.edu 48 hour prior to setting up the recording.

Please note: in order to record or livestream the screen share properly, please make sure to plug in the computer to hdmi. Sharing the screen wirelessly might result in the screen share not visible on the recording/livestream.
